I took a class today for Quilt As You Go technique. This will give you an idea of the pattern. It will be a total of six rows.

Looks like you need to choose a fabric that will blend nicely at the seams for that outer, white color. I mostly know how you did those- they go very fast, right?

I am getting more used to it. I don't like the part for sewing sashings on the machine but can see the need. I am going to sew the binding by hand though. My machine didn't like the intersections of fabric. It was like sewing through denim.

The class was 5 hours long although part of that was, of course, spent browsing the store and buying stuff.

When I made my class sample I used the decorative stitches of my machine on the sashings. It look very nice and I got to try out new stitches.

I'd like to know how to do that too. My very first quilt was QAG and it was awful. That looks like a better way. Any tips....tute's?
