I received most of the votes for A sashing with the little grey squares. Some wanted the big grey strips smaller but I wanted the lap quilt to be rectangular so I left them the size they were. The top is sewn together and I had enough scraps left over to piece a backing also. Here is the top...[ATTACH=CONFIG]610830[/ATTACH]

Really like this quilt. There is something about red and gray together that pleases my eyes. Hope it keeps you warm in the cold weather.
