Top finally put together
1 Attachment(s)
These blocks were some of the first blocks made by me back in mid to late 90’s. Finally put them into a top to get quilted. Some of the blocks were sewn together in opposite directions around the center square (LOL) but they are what they are. Christmas colors but difinitely not Christmas prints.

Lovely quilt, I love log cabin quilts. The colors are great, it does have a Christmas feel to it. Definitely worth finally putting it together.

Very pretty quilt! Also love your doggie in the Avatar. I have a ShihTzu pup--5 mos.--who we just adore. Such an easy dog to train and enjoy.
|
I checked every block and couldn't find one that is placed wrong. Every row is made the same.
It is a lovely quilt and you can be proud of it. |
I'm impressed that you found this project that you started in the 1990's and were able to continue it. I have a hard time finding the pattern and getting back into a project once I've let it lapse. Very pretty!

Oh...that is so pretty... Must feel good to finally get this done...
|
Very nice. It just goes to show that some patterns and fabrics are timeless.

Sue.ross: I have a large tub that I have had many blocks stored in. I have almost 80 Dresden blocks that my mother made back in the 60’s I imagine that I want to do something with one of these days. I also stored blocks from block exchanges over the years (again back in the 90’s) and have made a big dent this last few months getting them put into tops and quilting. It is such a good feeling getting UFOs done!
Sprice: Lucy is a Lhasa Apso. She is 6 years old and runs the house. Spoiled rotten. Little separation anxiety. Sometimes a pain in the neck but she is loved. |
A beautiful quilt and a great finish. Congrats!
|
Really nice. Pretty colors and I like the setting. It has a lot of movement
|
Kool. I love LC and all the different ways you can lay them out. BrendaK

A classic! Very nice!
|
Love it! Do t see blocks going wrong way! Beautiful quilt!
|
Very pretty.
|
Pretty blocks...nice save. They are much better served in a quilt top than in a box of squares. It does have a Christmas feel.

Log cabin is my favorite quilt and I really enjoy yours! Sometimes I think something "out of place" really adds enchantment to the quilt. I do that every once in a while on purpose.
|
I like it. It has a lot of movement and interest.
