The fabric you chose is wonderful! I had the same problem with the wavy border. There are so many hexagon edges that are on the bias. What I did was take the measurement of the length of the quilt in the center, cut the border to this measurement, and then eased the quilt edge into the border. Then measured the width and did the same thing.

Love your quilt. You could try hide the waves with small little tucks which if done well would not be that noticeable and could be taken for joints?
