I made this wall hanging serveral years ago - we had a particularly frigid December with lots of snow and ice. (Not normal for this part of Oregon) In fact, our kids couldn't make it down on Christmas Day that year.

I hang it in our entry hall every December, and when I go out the door, it reminds me not to complain about the rain, because it JUST COULD BE icy and snowing!

The pattern is from a book by Linda Causee, "Log Cabin Flannel Quilts" with foundation piecing. I did not use flannel or use paper piecing. I just measured her pattern, cut strips, and followed her placement guideline.

Very lovely! I remember that year too. We couldn't get out of our drive way and if we did slid down the drive way we couldn't get up the hill that our street is on. It was awful but very pretty.

What you have created and displayed has really motivated me to make something stunning for myself. I am at the moment try to 'doll' up my quilting room. It is filled with unnecessary rubbish.. :lol:
