Last night I asked for suggestions on my previous layout. I'm quite happy with this current layout, so I think I'm going to finish it this way. These 1" squares aren't sewn together yet, just laying there waiting to be sewn (hoping hubby doesn't mess with them, they are on the ironing board in the kitchen).

Edited to add - I have named it "Strawberry Patch" because when my teenager first saw it she immediately thought of Strawberries.

It is only going to be a wall hanging or a table runner, but 1" squares aren't too bad. If it was a full sized quilt, I wouldn't do 1" :-) Currently there are 225 in that picture. I'm thinking of doing 3 of those and making a long table runner with them, still debating.

Great. You must have lots of patience. I don't think I would ever attempt 1" squares. Unless, my new gb is a girl then...she may need a dolly quilt and I could make one.
