Trout Fish Quilts
6 Attachment(s)
I have been 'experimenting' with designs for the quilts I will be making for the World Fly Fishing Championships to be held in our State in early December. These smaller quilts are the result of some of those designs. I have had a lot of fun making these quilts and have another few ready to be quilted. These completed quilts will be for sale at a market stall I am having at the Community Centre this coming weekend near our highlands fishing cabin. Thanks for looking.

Great quilts. I have a cousin who loves his fishing, these would be great for his man cave. Did you design them or find the patterns?
|
Great work. Your experiments appear very successful to me!

Your quilts are marvelous! Hope they sell well.

Those are all so great! :o

Wow! These are beautiful! Even non-fisher folk -- are there such people? -- would love these!

I love to fish--have all my long life...from banks, boats, in waders, etc. The "this big" brought such laughter, as I've heard so many of those tales. I've even used it for the ones that "got away". Love it!!
You got talent, gal. I bet they are snatched up immediately. |
Wonderful for the fishing community. Your wall hangings are perfect and should sell out quickly. My DH is out fishing now. I told him we have to give some away or eat faster, our freezer is almost full! Nothing better than fresh trout, unless it is Wisconsin perch. Boy, I miss that.

All great quilts! Love them all and I don't even fish!
|
Those are Sooo cute.

All are really nice....but that first one is my fav!!!!!! I made my husband a fish fabric quilt top and I've not been able to get in the mood to finish it. But I really like your top quilt and I hope you don't mind but I'm gonna have to copy it for the backing!!!!!

They are super. Brendak

Got another question for you....how is the lettering done? Is that paint or are the letters cut out and if they are cut out how did you finish the edges?
TIA |
Thankyou for all the lovely comments. Alas, I sold none of the quilts at the market, but it hasn't deterred me from making a few more as they were fun to make and someone along the way will want to buy them.
