For those of you have asked me - I got this fabric from www.backdoorquiltshoppe.com. It is one of the first truck fabrics I found that looks more mature and the colours seemed to go well with the Logos I had. THanks for all the feed back.

This is a truly awesome quilt. I love what you did with the fabric and the logos. I am sure your dad will be thrilled with it.

I recently made a quilt using train fabric for a friend who is going through chemo treatments and he called to say how much the quilt meant to him because he has model trains. I now know that using a fabric and embellishments that means something special to the person ( especially men) receiving the quilt really touches their heart and spirit.

Thanks for that story. I think you are right - the sentiment will go down well. It was hard to break away from my more scrappy like quilts but I am now pleased I did it with the receiver in mind and not just what I like.

This is an AWESOME quilt! I bought this fabric too and made the mistake of trying to cut it up and totally ruined it . Too bad I didnt see yours first it is great!

Such a shame for you. Like you that is what I originally had in mind. Chop it up, frame each truck with patches from clothing etc etc but I was lucky enough to have some boys in my house who loved the farbic as it was so that made me rethink. This board is also such a great place for inspiration.
