Hello, I will attempt to send a couple pictures again of a table runner I made, and some quilted hot pads. My first time for sending here, but do it all the time when sending email.

This just shows the back side of runner.

I made all of these using my scraps from other projects.

I made three of these, as my two daughters wanted them.

Just love your table runner!! Love all the things you made! It's a great way to use up scraps. Really like the strip pieced on the diagonal ones! Very sharp indeed!! :-) :-) :-)

Hey.. I have some of that fabric!!! the backing on the runner........ think I have 2 or 3 yards of it. Isn't it fun when you see something like that? Your projects are just great.... love them!!!

quilter2 11-23-2009 09:21 PM

Nice work, love your table runner. Also like your tablecloth on you table.

Elisabrat 11-24-2009 04:26 AM

Question of the week: Did you use a batting in the runner? I like the non binding maybe that would help mine lay down flat better by skipping the sashing/binding. The colors are so pretty. I am now going to make one for my side board after seeing how pretty yours looks on yours. Wonderful job.

MollieSue 11-24-2009 04:32 AM

That tablerunner looks beautiful in your home. I remember you saying you weren't an experienced quilter - I think you qualify as an experienced and talented quilter!

Bevanger 11-24-2009 06:43 AM

those look fantastic. :D

Marcine 11-24-2009 11:11 AM

Thank you for the compliments.... I found that backing material I used on the back of the runner at a yard sale in Florida, last winter.. I got four yards of it for $3.00 and didn't have a clue what I was going to use it for.
Thanks again, Marcine

Marcine 11-24-2009 11:16 AM

Hi, and thanks for the compliment. I did use a very light weight batting in the runner. Sewed all aroung the runner, and left an opening to turn right side out. It was a bit of a struggle doing that, but less work than making a binding.

Marcine 11-24-2009 11:23 AM

Thank you so much. The compliments are so nice, and really makes a person feel great. I was always afraid to show anything I made, and seeing all the great responses here, will give me more courage to do more.
Thanks everyone.

very nice - love all your work.................

Sheila Elaine 11-24-2009 08:58 PM

Hey Marcine,
Your work is outstanding. Love your pot holders - you need to show us what you made from the rest of the fabric, if you still have any/all of them. Keep the pics coming.

I had to do a double take when I first saw your pic. You favor a lady who passed several years ago, my SIL's Aunt. She had that same precious smile that you do in your pic. I'm from NE Alabama, so looked & you're from WI. I don't think she was a Northern, but you'll could have been twins. Hope you have lots more years to make quilts.

Happy Thanksgiving.
Sheila
