Usually when I have a large quilt (queen/king), I go to a LAQ to rent her Gammill to do my quilting. Today I ventured out, and started quilting a king size quilt on my Janome 6600. So far, so good.... I will post the finished product.

Note: This quilt is the one where I was short over a yard of blue fabric and couldn't find any more. A wonderful, generous board member found some and mailed it to me.

What a nice gesture of one of the board members to find the fabric you needed and share with you. I love this board and the people on it.

I have quilted all my quilts on my Janome 6600 and a lot of them were king-sized. You'll be amazed at how easy it really is. Have fun!

Very impressive - a very large quilt to do on your home sewimg machine. I am sure you are doing a wonderful job and I am looking forward to seeing the results. I too, am trying to do machine quilting at home and used a decorative stitch and it is turning out well ( for me anyway.)

You shared just another example of how thoughtful our fellow quilters are on this board. Bravo!

Have fun. Such a generous group here. I too have quilted multiple King size quilts on my Janome 6600; such a wonderful machine. You will do fine.

It'll be fine! I am still a novice, but proud to say I have machine quilted on my 6600, and "tied" on my 6600.Beautiful quilt, by the way.
