I found a box of material up in the closet that I had cut into strips long before rotary cutters came into my life. The strips all had signs of being cut by hand, including pencil lines and uneven cutting lines from the material lifting. I must have purchased the material from Joann's, it was the only store around that carried quilting fabric. At any rate, I sewed some strips together, grabbed my 45 degree ruler and whacked away!

I can't say that I loved the process but it did remind me of strip quilting years ago. I am not a big fan of bias sewing, too much give and not enough take. I used my 45 degree ruler and just flipped it over to make the other cut. It must be easier to use the ruler/template designed for tube cutting/quilting. I will probably do this again, the next time I find a box full of pre cut strips :D I may try it with just three colors and wider strips....

These look great...I am pretty keen on trying this so seeing everyone's take on this is very helpful.
