Kaffe Fassett has good instructions for making a hassock in Passionate Patchwork (my fav Kaffe Fassett book). He calls it a Turban Footstool. Its similar to the instructions here.

I love his books! They are some of my go-to's for inspiration. I love to just look at the pictures. There's a couple I don't have that I'm going to look for a quilt festival.

I purchased a pattern for this tuffet last Spring in Lancaster at the AQS show plus the 15 degree wedge ruler (I think that's correct) . I found a kit that has the foam circle, the wood circle and perhaps something else on the web. The foam is the only thing I would buy since cutting a good, circle I'm really thick foam would not be fun.

Have ve any of you seen the really cute very small tuffet? - a pincushion. There is a kit for it and it is adorable. If I get to thinking about it I would like to make one each for my friends in our hand work group - there's only 5 counting me - for Christmas. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of everyone's finished tuffet.
