Last Monday mhansen6 posted a beautiful patriotic quilt she made from a pattern in Not Your Grandmother's Tumbling Blocks. This quilt came from the same book. The pattern is called Cat's Meow and was originally designed for the Linus Project, which I know some of you are involved with. The hardest part of this quilt was finding the 60 degree measuring ruler to purchase. However, I found it and am glad I made the investment because there are a number of great patterns in the book and I will use it again. It quilt is for our youngest granddaughter.

I bought the 12 inch ruler and I think I paid $24.00. They also make them in 10, 8 and 6 inch. It's called a Clearview 60 degree triangle ruler. For the 12 inch try www.justitdist.com. Or put Marcia Baker Clearview 60 degree triangle ruler in a search engine and you'll pull up lots of stuff. Good luck.

There are no Y seams in this - it's all strip pieced. Go for it!!!
