Got the shower invitation when a whole lot of company was coming. Not prepared and missed the pastel boat when my niece got ahead of me. So I decided to go with a tummy-time quilt that reflects the dad's interests, rodeo. I finished binding at 6:40 a.m. and was on the way to the shower at 9:30 a.m. the same day. Consequently, don't have a picture of it bound. The back is cuddly stuff with different color cars on pale blue background which the dad, my nephew, also likes. And the panel I used had a girl on it, so that quadrant got put out and one quadrant had a flaw that I hadn't noticed. Bummers, so that one got put out as well and I just winged it. |
very cute!!!

Great quilt top! Well done getting it finished in time.
nicely done
I like what you did with this.
I like it!
Looks great!!
Sooo cute! I love the little pinwheels throughout.
Cute quilt and a little time to spare lol.
how unusual....better than pastels....nice thinking of dad.
Sure to be loved especially with the back being the cuddly stuff. I like you reflected the dad's interests. That was a great idea. Glad you finished in the nick of time!

Looks very nice!

I think it turned out great. This quilt will probably get as much or more love than a pastel quilt. I tend to avoid pastel and baby-like themes now and go for something that they will love later. Baby is bound to love horses and rodeo's if Daddy does.

Very nice quilt. I usually make tummy time quilts versus a crib quilt as mommy usually has her own style for decorating the nursery. If I know the color scheme or a theme I may go with that but not always.
Baby quilts don't have to be "babyish" anymore. Yours will certainly be loved.
What great "winging" skills you have to have made this quilt starting with what appears to be 3 square pillow panels.
Nice, speedy quilt. Congratulations on finishing in time, always a plus. Nice work.
I think it is adorable!!!!!!
This is something that will last pass tummy time. Super. BrendaK

I agree with Kris P. For a tummy time quilt especially, I prefer to use bright colors (primary colors are always good) and lots of movement. Babies like something to look at. A rodeo certainly fills the bill!

love it ....i bought that panel at paducha this year ...
Just so cute! Great job winging it. Everything looks perfect
Looks great to me.
Well, you wing it very well! Terrific quilt and i love the checkerboard effect. Sometimes we give too much thought to a quilt and it doesn't turn out nearly as cute as this. Thanks for sharing.
That will be loved. It's personal and unique.
That is adorable...
