That looks great. So colorful and bright. Gives me an idea for a baby quilt I've been wondering what to do about...Thanks!

She is adorable. The quilts are beautiful, love the colors, so bright and cheerful. I'd never have thought of using the black and white prints, they came out perfect.

Great quilt, but I'm afraid the baby steals the show - so very cute. Would love to just hold and cuddle her.

Oh yeah, the baby steals the show.....she is just beautiful. What a blessing. OBTW, I really did love the quilts too. I wish I could figure out the D4P . Looks like it would be simple, but I've never tried it. Gotta find out how to do that. tee hee

I love that one especially.

I used 4" squares on that one. I spent 11 hours today with my d-i-l and grandbaby! We went to the lake so I could take some pictures of the two of them then back here for lunch! What a great day.

You need to place the 4 patch on a small mat so you are able to turn in. Then cut it from top to bottom 1" away from the center seam on all four sides. Then take the middle two rectangles on each side and turn them the other way so the colors are facing the opposite direction. Then sew it all back together! I had to make many before I stopped thinking I had it wrong. Print the photo of mine to follow once you sew them together. If it doesn't look right--turn the rows around and it'll work.

Thank you barnbum. I will give it a try. Reading your instruction, I was having a hard time visualizing it in my head but I think once I sew the 4 blocks together and follow your instr. as I go, (hands-on from that step), I think it will clear it up in my mind. I will also refer to your quilt. Thank you so much for the info. I just fell in love with your quilt. Sandrea

What wonderful ideas for the quilts, and the baby is just precious!!!

juneeloonee 07-27-2013 02:35 AM

Love your quilts! But that little beauty!!?!!! Gorgeous - have fun! Aren't grand kids a joy? The old saying, "if I'd known that they would be so much fun, I would have had them first!"

laurilli 05-29-2014 11:52 AM

Love all your quilts, D9P most. But your DGD is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!

lynnie 05-29-2014 11:57 AM

beautiful baby! beautiful colorful quilts too

FabStripper 05-29-2014 12:02 PM

Thank you so much for the instructions on this. I never have seen a D4P and this one just wasn't making sense to me until I just read thru the instructions. I will also print off a picture of your quilt to follow along with your instructions. I am having a tough time figuring out if I cut, turn, cut, turn, cut, turn, etc, or cut, cut, cut, turn, turn, turn. I will need the instructions right with me. Thank you for the help on this!
Oh, and such a beautiful baby; maybe THAT is why I am so distracted by this pattern...LOL.

Prim Quilts 05-29-2014 01:37 PM

The quilts are terrific, but they can't compare to that little sweetheart! I love little babies in their onesies. I just want to rub that tummy.
