A really interesting way to showcase a panel print. It really does have a 3-D effect for the viewer.

Love it and the colors.

ontheriver 04-25-2016 04:31 AM

Great design for using a panel or focus fabric. Will have to remember this for future projects.

I love the progressively larger setting squares at the corners of your borders. I've never seen one done like that and it's very striking.

Mariposa 04-25-2016 05:31 AM

Nicely done!

Sorry, that is the name of the pattern.

jnagy1206 04-28-2016 07:07 PM

Sorry for the confusion. That is the name of the pattern. It can be done light to dark or dark to light or scrappy and all will have different effect.

I love your quilt, and the ideas it brings to mind! My lil granddaughter loves ocean, tropical fish fabrics. I have several of them as well as panels. I think I'll try it with one and see how it goes...

Kif

I am sitting here looking at the full page photo I made for my 'Ideas for quilts' folder. That is a wonderful effect for a panel. I also love the colors used in this quilt.
