This was a small jelly roll that I put together, end to end. I didn't care for the end result, so thanks to someone on this board that had the same jelly roll, and made it into blocks with sashing. (Sorry I don't remember who it was...just remember seeing the same fabric!!)
Today was my quilting day, so I took the top with me, and cut it into blocks. I didn't get all the sashing on as this was my last project of the day to work on. (Lots of little projects today. :) ) I am liking this top now!!! I have some soft yellow flannel for the backing. It is going to keep me very comfy in front of the tube this winter. Yes....one for me!!!!!! That's going to be a very pretty quilt, such soft colors. I made a flannel quilt sort of like that but I haven't put a back on it yet. It's going to be my T.V. watching quilt, too!!

What a cool idea to cut it up. I'll have to remember that.

Very creative thinking. I't going to be very pretty.

By introducing contrast you are really bringing it to life- Isnt it amazing how the appearance of something can change so radically by mixing in a new element? That's one of the things I love most about patchwork.
Well done! |
