I know they are suppose to be easy, but they look so complicated. The colors are great.

Deb, it's a fun process - what I did was to draw out what I wanted my finished block to look like - draw a square, divide it into strips and patches; add your 1/4" seam wherever there will be a seam.
Arranged my FQ's to be light/dark/light/dark. Cut each FQ into those strips & patches. I put each patches into a pile (clamped together so they didn't get mixed up and with a note of the size and location of that patch). Then start shuffling - take the top piece from one pile, move it to the bottom. Take the top 2 pieces from the next pile and put them on the bottom. Keep going with each pile ... if you put the piles on a worktable in the order they will get put back together, you'll end up with lights next to darks with your shuffling.

I love the blue with the black. I have made quilt with red black and white... but the blue is beautiful
