Twin Star baby blankets
4 Attachment(s)
I saw a block once that I thought would look great expanded from a 12" to a 36" for baby blankets for twins:
http://www.quilterscache.com/V/VOS_EllensStarBlock.html I finally got around to doing it for a coworker's friend who recently had twins. It was challenging finding the right colors and fabrics, as the mother's preferences were such that I don't have in my stash, so I used this fabric, which I love. It's not traditional baby, but apparently under the circumstances that is just as well. I used minky for the turquoise square in the stars and on the back, and this time around it was most uncooperative. Nevertheless, the project is done and I can cross this off my list. I did contemplate making another blanket for an older sibling, but now I am not so inclined, lol. |
These are very cute! I like the idea of the textural change in the blue squares too. What a wonderful quilts! Great job!

What a great pattern to use for twins! And if the mother prefers these colors, then the quilts are perfect for these babies. Can't get better than that.

Awww. Look at the little dog. How cute! Yes, he approves.
Curious why there are borders on only 2 sides and not all 4. |
I wanted to make the blanket longer, but not wider. Also, I didn't have enough fabric ;)
