That is SOOOO beautiful. I bought the paper piecing papers for that last year at Paducah, but have not been brave enough to attempt it yet. Yours makes me want to start it, if I can find it! :?

That is really stunning!! Even paper pieced that is quite an undertaking. A work of art---I am sure every one at the quilt show enjoyed your entry!!!

Here are two sites. The first one explains it the best and the second site has the paper pieced pattern that you can download.

If this doesn't work, it is in the book Borders and Finishing Touches II.

Just a few hints: (You might want to do just one color star first to get a hang of it before attempting the whole quilt. You can always make a pillow out of this)

1. Remember to cut 1/4 inch seam allowance around each triangle block when it is completed.
2. Be careful on the 1/2 triangle blocks for the ends, leave the 1/4 inch seam allowance on all three sides.
3. Cut each triangle out and tape it in place (with the inked side facing down and then lightly color (on the wrong side of the vellum paper) what color goes where. Some triangles will have three colors on it and they have to match up with the other triangles around it.
4. Use very small stitches (and back stitch ends). Tearing the paper off is easier with small stitches.
5. I found that taking the paper off before I sewed a row together was easier than leaving it on.

Anyway, if I can help in any way, just PM me.

That is so colorful and perfectly pieced. Love the black background it really does make those colors pop.
I have a dragonfly paper piecing project I have been meaning to do.
I hope you do really well at the show ... crossing my fingers for you.
