Twisted Log Cabin
1 Attachment(s)
I found a tutorial on here from 2010 for a Twisted Log Cabin. It looks like it might have been paper pieced, but it is actually only straight line sewing. It took me a few false start blocks, but I finally got it figured out. This will measure approximately 15”x40” once it is quilted & bound.
I’m fond of 3-D effect in quilts. |
I like that

Fantastic! Guess I'll have to add that to my bucket list.....

Lovely Twisted Log Cabins!

That will be fun when its all done!
It's beautiful.
Wow! Very unique!
That looks very similar to the quilt used in the beginning of the show Simply Quilts except that it was rainbow colors. You did a great job with your quilt.
Interesting quilt and beautifully done.
I love the look of this quilt. You did a very good job.
That does tricks with my eyes.
Very pretty indeed! Here is a link to the tutorial here on the QB https://www.quiltingboard.com/tutori...in-t81954.html

That looks a lot like what Geta from Romania makes. Really nice!
I love that pattern. Your colors work amazingly well. Great job!
Are you going to make a tutorial on how to make the block. I also like the 3D effect. A table runner would look good.
! That is a beautiful and unique quilt. It looks like an optical illusion to me.
I love your color choices for this one. Beautiful job!
Very pretty!

LOL - My reaction when I looked at your pic was similar to others here - ! It is really interesting and has terrific movement! Great job!! Thanks for sharing!!

Very nice job. I did a small quilt similar to that and it was a killer for me; called it "Quilt from Hell" . It just was not going together well, the instructor had not printed out the paper pieces right and we had to do some adjusting. I don't think she ever taught another class at that shop; although she was a very accomplished quilter. Anyway, I was determined to finish it and I did, but never, never again. Can't even remember the name of it, but it was very similar to yours. Hats off to you.

Wonderful quilt! The pattern really comes to life!
A great twist on a traditional block. You have done a great job!

It looks very difficult, and perfectly made.
Your quilt is very cool. I had not seen this before. Thanks for sharing.
I'd rather cheat and do it via PP'ing from my 101 PP'd Log Cabin book...But good for you for taking on this challenge...Very nice

Awesome quilt, but I think I would be cross eyed before I got it finished.
