Twister - American Flag (2 of 'em)

This is a pattern I designed myself. It's going to be a shop sample for the quilt shop where I work. I used the 5" charm squares to make the first flag, which is 18" x 18". I then used the scraps (2.5" squares) from cutting it and the Itsy Bitsy Twister tool to make the little baby flag, which is 7" x 7". It was tough dealing with all of those seams, but came out so gosh darn adorable that I know I'll be making more.

I did the quilting myself. I did the "big" one on my Tin Lizzie, and the little one on my Bernina. Stars for the blue and a wavy line for the red and white.

I kept the fabrics in the same spot in each flag, so it's kind of cool to compare how they look in the bigger and smaller flags.

Thats really cute, great job on design and fabric.

Very cute. I may need to do something like that for my patriotic quilt -- I have a lot of random patriotic fabric pieces left over from other projects.

beauitiful, I have not seen the tiny twister tool. Where did you find it? Or did you make one.
Thanks.

Too cool! Can I "borrow" your idea for one of the QOV's I want to make this year? It would be much appreciated. Thanks for sharing these beauties with us!

No, I didn't make it. It's by Primitive Gatherings. There are 4 total sizes from the Twister, 2 by CS and 2 by Primitive Gatherings. This one I think is called "Itsy Bitsy Pinwheel Tool" or something like that

Of course! QOV is such a great organization/idea. Please borrow away!

You did an awesome job with your design and colors. You should write a pattern for sale.
