I know from the hits that everyone loves the twister and is probably mystified by it but it is very simple. Here is a before and after. I borrowed Mommamac's layout of 3x7 across plus the 3" border. I then added a yellowish 2" border and another 3" to the outside. All I need to do is quilt this. I began at 8:30 with cutting out the squares and just finished pressing at 10:05p. Not bad. Please enjoy.

It is a square template with a wonky x marked on it. You put together your blocks like the first pic. When you place the x mark on the seam and cut, you get a block. Turn it slightly to the right. Sew them back together and you end up with the second pic. There are 2 sizes of template: one for 5" squares and one for 10" squares.

Very Cute!!

What is the finished size, before you added your extra boarders. I need to figure out how much smaller it ends up so I can adjust to fit the table I want one for.

The 10" template is called a "Twister" and the 5" is called "Lil' Twister". My lqs has them. JoAnns does not. There is a tutorial on how to make these is here on the board. I bought the template at our Sew Expo. Last week I bought a charm pack and some yardage for the border. Then I got the flu. Hoping to get to it this next week.

Whoever makes one should post their pic so we can share:-)
