Twister

Hey all,
Here is another quilt I finished in December. It's for my youngest granddaughter's 21st birthday- which was in November LOL! I started it two years ago, but it ended up in my UFO pile until early November. Anyway, it's 72" x 52".

Thanks for looking,
Rob

Rob, you're really cranking out those UFO's!!!
I need to get going on mine lol
That's really pretty. I have the tool but still haven't used it.
Easy to do?

SusieQOH- thanks, it wasn't too hard- just time consuming in terms of deciding which pieces to put with which- my design wall came in handy for that. Instead of the tool, I used the die made by Sizzix- it's called Tessellating Pinwheel die, and it works on the Big Shot Pro. They've probably got one for the Go as well.

I spent the last 45 minutes digging through things in my sewing studio trying to find 2 UFO's that I plan on finishing! And you just showed 2 that you have finished in short order! Your 21 year old gd is going to love this sweet quilt! Nice Job. Now back to looking for the 2 UFO's!

Very pretty quilt. I have those templates and have always been intimidated by how to sew them. Guess I will have to give it a try. Your Granddaughter will love her pretty quilt

I have made some simple twister wall hangings (wreaths mostly) ... I have found that a design wall helps tremendously ... sew your grid, cut and place back on design wall ... good luck!

I found it to be pretty tedious to put together mainly because of trying to make sure I had good contrast between each of the twisters. Having a large design wall was a big help since I was able to lay the entire quilt out and see places where there wasn’t enough contrast before stitching it together.
