Please anyone with instructions to share I'd appreciate it. On the Twister Tool. I live where there are no books or tools at the store to look at on it. I didn't see anything but tools and closed tool packages. The demos to watch were great...but, no note taking by me....just a fading memory . . . hahahaha

The 10" fabric squares are used with the 8" twister tool.
A 10" tool will be too big.

Read through these topics for lots of good info about the twister and making a tool.

This one is good but on the first picture on page 2, pretend there is already a border on the blocks!

Also do a search for twister and lots more topics will come up.

I saw the tools...they ere perfect squares I'm quite sure ...Am I wrong? I didn't measure them.... But they cut out perfect squares...! ? Your directions speak of two different lengths?

I did see the tool on a site that showed it's lines are 3/4" in from each corner except one corner is 1 1/2 inch in from edge .... Then, also remember to be sure to always use the tool the same way and not twist it's layout. . .Note: which location the 1/12" corner was held on the intersecting seams when you are drawing around, or cutting around each piece . . .must match up the pinwheel colors just right... . . . So hold / place it down the same way.... Any more help? I want to cut and make the tools today...

You did a great job! I looked at that link some time ago.... then decided to make my own 'twister' ruler and save the 30$. I haven't done a quilt with it yet, but, the tester blocks I did turned out great. It's a cute pattern.

What do you do with the "waste"? Can it somehow be used in adding a border?

watterstide 03-03-2011 06:20 AM

the "waste" is about 2 inch squares..you can sew them together with other scraps that match and make a border or binding..

Your pictures are great, watterstide!

I realized I put the wrong link in my post. The correct one is

Just mentally add the border to the first picture.

Nice job, did you use the special ruler or 10" block method. My sister-in-law was just telling me about this pattern.
