I've made this particular quilt top a few times, so that might be the reason why these two went together so quickly. These are two links to pics of some of the other ones I've made: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-100174-1.htm & http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-47885-1.htm Either way, I'm thrilled they went together so fast. They are both sandwiched and pin basted. I've hand stitched the label to the backing and on Thursday I can start some FMQ. I've done the FMQ on one of these in two hours so, I'm hoping to get these done in an afternoon.

The first one is for friends who just had their first baby and are heading to Zimbabwe in the fall as missionaries. I used some fussy cuts of African animals in the socks to commemorate the little boy's first overseas trip. He was born in March but they're coming to NY this week so I'm finishing it now to give it to them personally.

The second one is for DH's cousin whose second child, their first son, was born last week, three weeks prematurely. I started theirs when I started the other one, thinking that it might be faster to make two exact same quilts at the same time than separately. Thanks for looking!

For the little man who's heading to Zimbabwe.

This quilt is adorable! The pattern looks a little familiar. I am sure you are going to get tons of compliments on this one.

Thanks! I've made this pattern before and posted pics of them. I went back and edited my original post here to include links to some of the other ones.

All 4 quilts are adorable (2 here, 2 from the links, so no one thinks they're missing something :D )! This is your own pattern, right? You said you adapted a Vogue pattern? If it is yours, and you'd be willing to share, I am sure a lot of us would be interested in a tutorial or just paper instructions. Since I really want to make a quilt like that! I'm thinking of having those children things soon, and I would love to make them a quilt like that

It's still all the Vogue pattern but I just change the arrangements of the clothes and borders. I have another friend who just had a baby so when I start that one, I'll try to take pics to do the tutorial. Thanks for the interest!

And here they are, finished! Each quilt took a day to do the quilting.
