Two More Donation Quilts from Leaders/Enders
6 Attachment(s)
These are #7 and #8 from my Rail Fence leader/ender donation project--this time, Batiks with black and uneven rails: one in a stairstep and one in a windmill layout. There are some pretty homely fabrics in there, but taken as a group, they are okay. :)

Lovely quilts!
Great job on these! Very colorful~
Very pretty and really love your batik fabrics.
Two more gorgeous scrappy quilts. Well done.
Those are both fabulous! Have to say I favor that second one.... Absolutely great donation quilts. So much color and movement!

Both are very pretty.
Happy quilting, Susan |
Beautiful quilts, great colors and they will keep someone warm.
Beautiful and bright....I see no homely fabrics in those.
Nice quilts.
Angelia, more beautiful scrappies from your sewing studio. Beautiful quilts.
Wonderful donation quilts...I love your leaders/enders projects. I am so happy I adopted a L/E outlook a year or so ago.
Absolutely stunning. Your work with scraps and strings is just incomparable. I look forward to seeing all the scrappy's you post.
I had batiks like some of yours and gave them away because I didn't like it and now I see what you did with yours and I love them! Bless you for you generosity! Quilts will be so appreciated by the receivers.
They’re beautiful! Wonderful use of color!
You did an Amazing job on your quilts...reminds me of the look of stain glass windows. Thanks for sharing!
You did a great job with both quilts. Beautiful donations.
Those patterns worked great with your fabrics!
wonderful quilts. these should be on the Scrappy Quilts Show thread.
Homely? A Batik? I don't see a single one; it's beautiful!
Like them both but love the first one
Love these. The black really sets up the colors to pop without them being overwhelming. I think without the blac stripe the colors would melt together and not have the impact they have with the black stripe. Great job!
2 more delightful, scrappy quilts!
Yeah, I see a couple that I agree are a bit not beautiful, but each quilt as a whole is fantastic!
great use of scraps, can't decide which one I like better, they are both beautiful.
Super. Both are wonderful. BrendaK
I have never seen one like that before. That is really interesting. Great Job!
Oh how beautiful!!!!!!!!!
just curious about the size of each rectangle in your blocks... Love them both but especially the second one. I have a lot of scraps left from the last 2 quilts I made and think they would make a great quilt like yours.
The blocks are 4.5" x 4.5" unfinished. Batiks are cut at 3.5" x 4.5"--black at 1.5" x 4.5". Both quilts use the same block--only the layout is different.
These are wonderful winter quilts to work on so bright and cheerful!
I love those bright colors!
Wow, they are wonderful. Think Id probably have to hang onto one of them :)
Really like both quilts. Scrappy quilts are the best.
