sorry, I missed your post somehow! One leg makes the straps, usually can get both straps from the back of one leg, leaving the front and the whole other leg. I am saving them to do a denim quilt, but I also think I will make some denim flowers, IPad covers, and any other cute crafty thing that comes my way. I have two HUGE bags stuffed with left overs from these totes, plus a few whole jeans I have that were given to me that I won't use for purses.

Its got to be an IPad problem. No matter what I do when I take the picture with the IPad, then turn around to post on the board, they are upside down! I can't win! Sorry about that!

I think the bags are great but the coffee looks so good, if it weren't so late or early I would make a cup. I love frogs too so am torn about favorites. Thank you.

Your Bags are beautiful. I love the chocolate one. I want to make some with a knitting theme. Where do you find the pattern for these bags? Do you use actual jeans or do you sew the whole bag? If you use jeans, do you use a children's size or adult size?

I use real jeans I get at the Goodwill etc. Half the fun is shopping for a perfect pair. I use ladies size up to a 12, but also use children's if aim want a smaller bag. There isn't really a pattern, I have seen one on line similar, but didn't like the way it was done, so I developed my own method of constructing them as I made them. Believe me, the first few I made weren't as nice and well finished as they are now. It took practice, and each one I learned from and improved until I got where I really was satisfied. I also learned which jeans to buy and which to stay away from. I have several pairs I bought that Zi won't use for bags. Good thing I want to make a denim quilt and a couple smaller
projects from the scraps. I think a knitted theme would look great! These bags adapt to a huge variety of themes, just by what fabrics and "bling" you use. A knitted tie through the belt loops would be wonderful, with some knitted themed fabric used for the lining and pockets, maybe a couple iron-on appliqué patches too. Be sure to post what you do!!

I've made a couple of bags with knitting fabric. Here's a link to the fabric I used.
