I got two more quilts done. The blue one is from the Minnesota Shop Hop fabric. On both quilts I used polar fleece for backing and I really do like it. It was easy to quilt and the quilts are soft after being washed. Well two are done and about 6 more to finish.

They are beautiful.

Lovely quilts!

Very pretty.

They are beautiful, and if you used polar fleece did you just omit the batting? I've used regular fleece on baby quilts, but still add in the batting to make them warmer. Polar fleece is quite abit thicker though, I think.

I love your work Lucy! You did a great job on both of them.

Very NICE

I like both quilts, but I particularly love the second one! The colors are wonderful.

Those are very pretty! I love fleece...we have cold winters here and fleece helps keep all that warmth in!!! :)

I especially love that second one. Very pretty!

The second one is gorgeous.

Beautiful work!

God job. They are both very nice. I like to use the fleece on the backs too. My family requests them that way.

Both are beautiful

Beautiful quilts. I saw a table runner done with the first blue prints. and all they had left was the allover print that you used in the border and center. Couldn't find the print with the individual squares. I am going to make table runners for family members that have moved out of state.

Both of them are pretty. I also like to use fleece for the backing. It makes them so soft.

I just used the fleece with no batting. They are just lap quilts but they are warm. I am making a larger MN Fabric one and am just using fleece. I got the fleece on sale at Jo Ann's and for casual quilts I decided to try the fleece. For a baby or a quilt for someone I would more and likely use batting also. Have a nice day.

second one is my favorite.

Very nice, both of them, but I love the blue one (top) best! Nice work!

Hello,
Size of quilt is 50" x 70". You need 7 dark blue fat quarters or what ever color you are using. 22 5" panel squares or charms. The squares I used were from a panel that is the MN Shop Hop fabric 1-2/3 yd light blue 1 yd stripe for sashing and first border & binding. I made a scrappy binding. Cut four 8"1/2 squares from each fat quarter. Use raw edge applique to put 5" squares on 22 of the 8-1/2" squares. Scatter randomly and tilt them. Did not applique on the four dark blue squares. Cut light blue 22-1/2" wide by 24-1/2" long. Cut two 1-1/2" x 24-1/2" strips and attach to sides of light blue rectangle (center). Sew rows together as in picture, putting 1-1/2" strips under rows 2 & 5. Sew the two blocks for rows 3 & 4. Border with 1-1/2" and 4-1/2 strips for outer border. Hope this all makes sense. Just look at the picture and it will be easy. When I appliqued the 5" squares I just used quilting spay instead of stabilizer. Have a nice day Marlene |
Both are very pretty but the 2nd one is my favorite!

I was told if you go to the MN Shop Hop fabric site you can find places that have the material. I know there are a few shops up north here that have the fabric. One is Quilts Around the Corner in Hibbing. Kathy is the owner and the phone # is 218-2263-9078. Also Grubbers (sp) in St. Cloud can let you know where there is fabric, anyway that is what I was told.
Have a nice week end Marlene |
