I am having so much fun with this pattern - just had to show a couple more - I'll keep making them but not posting anymore... :) Thanks for indulging...

The lining in this one has the same colors, different print - flowers - I forgot to add a pocket to this one :(

This is one for my sister - she wanted 'hip' - You can see the lining fabric (barely) on the back side of the handle. I DID put a pocket in this one :)

You don't have to stop posting them on my account! I keep thinking I would like to make one of those, but wouldn't know where to start.

Melinda in Tulsa 05-11-2010 03:12 PM

http://artsycraftybabe.typepad.com/t...phoebe_bag.pdf Here is the website - so simple to make - I've been able to make, at the most, 2.5 each day... I see Christmas presents all over this.
Thanks, again, for all the nice comments.

I just printed the pattern, but don't know how much I have to enlarge it. How much did you enlarge the actual pattern?

iltoaz 05-12-2010 07:40 AM

GrammaNancy 05-12-2010 07:41 AM

kkbrand 05-12-2010 07:46 AM

I think you should sell them! I printed the pattern, now gotta try and make one. How long does it take you to make them?

alaskasunshine 05-12-2010 07:50 AM

thismomquilts 05-12-2010 08:39 AM

The more I make, the faster they go together - I try to get an assembly line going - do it all in a certain order and it goes faster... I made two and half yesterda - and one of them I even put my initial on!!

thismomquilts 05-12-2010 08:39 AM

oh - I did not enlarge the pattern at all - I use it as is - I suppose it could be enlarged for a larget bag??? Hmmm - there's a thought!

Maybe it's my printer, but the actual dimensions look small enough to be an evening purse. I thought everyone's would look like that. Now I'm wondering how much I'll have to enlarge it. I'm lousy at that kind of math. 8-)

thismomquilts 05-12-2010 02:23 PM

I have another picture to show the bag I made for ME - but can't figure out how to add it to this post... I'll do a new one.

ann clare 05-12-2010 02:27 PM

Beautiful bags.

Did you print all the pages? There should be five of them. The page that has the tab on it also has 1/2 of the top of the bag. That and the bottom pattern are supposed to be taped together and placed on a fold. Make sure your printer is set on 8 1/2x11 pages. This has happened to me before when I've printed something after I've been doing smaller printing.

Well Duh!! How dumb I am! Of course it's supposed to be taped. Thanks so much for making me aware of that.
Yes I printed it on 8.5"X11" paper. So the mistake was mine in not looking at it carefully enough.

It happens to all of us at one time or another. Just glad it's figured out because it's really a cute purse.
