I completed 2 UFOs this week. That brings this year’s tally to: 2 UFOs complete, 1 quilt started and completed, 2 new quilts started.

Here’s pictures of the latest.

It’s been a couple years since I made the top, so I’m not sure where I got the pattern. It’s made from 2 1/2 inch strips exclusively. Sew pairs of strips together and subcut into 4.5 and 10.5 rectangles. The smaller units go at both ends of every other row. Join into rows with 2 1/2 inch background strips between the colored sections. I used leftover strips to make the borders. I hope this helps.

mucky 03-05-2018 02:57 PM

What is the pattern for the 2nd quilt?

rryder 03-05-2018 02:58 PM

Love the quilting! They're both beautiful!

This was a twisted log cabin using the Quilt In A Day specialty ruler.

redquilter 03-05-2018 05:22 PM

Both are great. I especially love the first one.

Thank you for the mini directions for your quilt. I was just about to ask the same question and.... now I know. Thanks again.

Congrats on being finished with 2 ufo's. Both are lovely. The first one looks like a fun one to try. Thanks for the info. on how you made it. Great quilting design, too.

Really interesting designs and great fabric choices. Nicely done.

QuiltMom2 03-06-2018 03:48 AM

I admire your finishes. My UFO's just sit and look at me reproachfully.

quilterpurpledog 03-06-2018 04:02 AM

Congrats on two quilts well done! They are very pretty, bright and cheerful. I especially like the wonky log cabin. I just like all things log cabin! Nice achievement.

jmoore 03-06-2018 05:14 AM

Both are pretty but I love the first one!

BrendaK 03-06-2018 08:56 PM

Both are super. Thanks for the information on the first one. Looks like it would be a good one to make use of scraps. Brendak
