I've been reading (and offering my perspective) the threads on batik fabric and why some do and some don't like them. I'm a very visual person; give me written instructions with pictures and I'll follow the pictures more than the words. Batiks give me so much more with the way they can convey a message in the movement of the colors or the color themselves.
The first quilt is all batiks - even the background and the backing. The second is a wall hanging that is all batiks but the black. I added stick-on sequins and stars. The fabric on the pumpkin body is batik with a silver metallic spatter spray on top. Really pretty both of them. Your bats hanging is prettier than the pattern I've seen. Nice work.
