Just finished the table cloth/quilt for my daughter's family to take camping. The other is a new project using a small embroidery piece I made years ago and never used as a table cover.

Your daughter is blessed to have such a sweet mom to make them a camping quilt and it looks huge. I love it! Your hand work is beautiful and so perfect...WOW it is gorgeous! My mom was also wonderful at needle work...me not so good at it. You do beautiful work! Thanks so much for sharing with all of us! :thumbup:

Embroidery is my first love. I learned at my grandmother's knee (she was from Sweden) when I was quite young. I have embroidered many table cloths, and table runners for myself and as gifts. It is hard to find patterns today... everyone seems to like cross stitch. I like the intricate stitches required for embroidery. If anyone has a recommendation for places to find embroidery patterns, please let me know. |

Both the quilts are wonderful. I love the embroidered quilt. It gave me an idea on what to do with a piece that I have had for many years. It is done in a chicken scratch emboidery on blue gingham.
