Two-sided quilt using Elmers

2 Attachment(s)
One side is a mystery quilt from last fall and the other is the big star pattern. This is the first time I used Elmers school glue to baste. It was absolutely fantastic!!! I'll certainly be using Elmers again.

Love those colors. I am going to have to try the Elmer's method of basting. Thanks for sharing this

Quiltngolfer 03-30-2013 11:07 AM

Nice quilt. I love quilts that can be used on either side.

Material Witness 03-30-2013 03:42 PM

This quilt is so lovely. This should be the textbook definition of reversible.

How do you baste a quilt with Elmers? Do you water down the glue and brush it on?

Country1 03-30-2013 05:01 PM

Like how you have 2 quilts in 1 and they are both beautiful!

Really nice, love that it's an either side quilt...

copycat 04-01-2013 03:32 AM

The colors are beautiful! When you glue basted the quilt sandwich did you use a special tip to apply the glue?
Thanks and happy quilting today!

Great job of using up your fabrics! I too use the Elmers basting method. How did you quilt it with the two different designs on each side? Would love to see a close-up picture.

cpcarolyn 04-01-2013 07:14 AM

Beautiful quilt. I have never tried basting with glue must try it sometime.

BuzzinBumble 04-01-2013 07:44 AM

That is a beautiful quilt but may I ask, I have just ordered some Elmers, how do you use it for basting? At present I use 505 spray but it is expensive.

BCM 04-01-2013 01:57 PM

Lovely quilt-back and front. I think we will be hearing more about use of Elmer's glue for this purpose.
