but will I ever get completely done??? I have a habit of just making quilts with no special person picked out for these quilts. I just love all the fabrics available, I am a fabric shopaholic, and I am sooooooo hooked on sewing. There is no hope for me.

SulaBug 01-06-2009 04:52 PM

Oh YES, there is help for you!! :D Just keep shopping & sewing & soon you will know who to give them too, just so you can make more!! :D

But isn't it fun. Sewing and buying. I need to do more sewing than buying.

Pretty tops.

Beautiful! And I just LOVE, LOVE LOVE the 2d one! Does it have a home? If not, I'm sure Guam would be a LOVELY place for it! Need my addy? :)

Pam Pollock 01-07-2009 11:56 PM

I love them. The second one is my favorite!! But both are beautiful. Great job!

SulaBug 01-08-2009 12:01 AM

I just love your two quilt tops!! They are so beautiful. Do you know the name of the pattern for the second one? I would sure like to put it on my to do list.

Barb M 01-08-2009 12:14 AM

Very nice.

Your quilts are so pretty. Really like them both. The sashing on the 2nd one really highlights the main fabric. Thanks for sharing.

pawquilts 01-08-2009 03:03 AM

Deb, Simply beautiful! Keep doing what you're doing!!! -Pat :) :) :)

*Deb 01-08-2009 04:40 AM

Thanks everyone for your kind words! The 2nd quilt is a pattern from the November Quilter magazine, called Swirling Acorns.

The 1st one is a free pattern and here is the link:

I'm so hooked to quilting, and don't know how to quit, so I'm sure there will be others coming.

I absolutely love this forum, and when I get quilter's block, I seem to always find ideas here!!

Deb, BOTH of your tops are just gorgeous!! I am so glad you posted pics. I need a little inspiration to get me started this year--I am feeling overwhelmed with so many projects before me. Thanks for sharing and keep 'em coming!!!

Bevanger 01-08-2009 06:21 AM

Awesome quilts :D

sewjoyce 01-08-2009 07:23 AM

Wow -- both tops are gorgeous!!

DA Mayer 01-08-2009 07:33 AM

Nice job. I have tops done but not together and I know who is to receive them. I just keep working on something new and not finish the others.

bj 01-08-2009 07:46 AM

Deb, they are both beautiful. I really like the sashing blocks (is that the right term?) in the second one. They look like little flowers. Someone will be lucky and proud to get them.

gigi2landon 01-08-2009 09:29 AM

they're beautiful, look at it like this, if you need a gift in a pinch or a blanket in a pinch you've got the hard part done.

Gorgeous both!

Chele 01-08-2009 09:49 AM

I feel your "pain!" Your tops are lovely! Make more!

oops 01-11-2009 02:37 PM

Everyone has started quilts and not known where they would end up at.
I have been working on and off on a quilt for six months. Yesterday  it came to me to take it this year to a family reunion. Use it for a door prize. The top is complete. It will not take long to quilt as there is a reason to finish it and get rid of another UFO.

beachlady 01-11-2009 03:00 PM

Both of your quilts are beautiful.
