Are there any adjectives left to use? That had to be a labour of love!

Congratulations! Well-done!

Izy

Well I'm lost for words to be honest, an absolute treasure you have made there to be passed on down through your family. I love, love, love it.
You should be so proud for acheiving such a huge task you set youself.
I know your sad it's come to an end & you have finshed it, but I am willing to wait 2yrs for the next one you make to come my way
Love the close up of the block with the house, did you hand blanket stitch around it or was it done on your machine. Just wondering as I have signed up for a BOM when I went to Malvern that is made up of all different house blocks.

Your show will be overwhelmed when they get to see it, Well Done Izy

mgshaw -
you could call the quilt "The House Where Izy Lived"!
great colors and an adorable pattern.

Grandma Cindy 10-05-2008 06:23 PM

Izy -
when doing a sampler how do you know how much fabric to buy, if one has no real pattern? Yours is a dream and may you have sweet ones, your first night under your new quilt.

Connie, you mustn't have looked so close....this is my first quilt, I hadn't done any quilting before starting this one :D

BUT during the process I have moved on and done two smaller quilts and a couple of wall hangings, I am totally addicted now...lol!! :D

Izy,

That is a wonderful quilt. I love the color and the design. I love the borders you designed, very creative and works well. It is well worth the wait and it is wonderful you learned so many techniques.

You will sleep well I'm sure.

Absolutely gorgeous!!! I can see why it took 2 years! You can really be proud of it! Happy quilting! :P Was going to send you a picture of my sampler quilt ( a bit smaller than yours) but it's on the other computer! Didn't even realize that I clicked on this one. It was one of the first ragg quilts that I made for my granddaughter.
