Really nice job for your first. So pretty. I'm sure it wil be a treasure for many years to come.

Thanks. One of my friends told me if I used white thread or monofilament thread then you would have to look really hard to find the mistakes so by using the contrasting thread you see every flaw but I dont mind, it was my first attempt at free motion quilting and I had fun. I am now working on my next quilt which is a wall hanging/baby sized quilt. I made it last year and started to machine quilt it but then bailed. I ordered stencils last night and will try my hand again at making neat designs.

Wow! I think it looks great! I'm almost ready to try it myself. I have a practice piece made up of the same fabrics and squares, etc. as the quilt so I can get the feel for it. Thanks for the tips on the YouTube videos. I'm definitely going to check it out. I'm thinking today might be the practice day and Thursday might be THE day! I have butterflies already!
I would be so proud to give that to the new baby! Their mom is gonna love it!

Great job with the FMQ. Like the different types in different places. Gives the quilt depth.

That's a very sweet quilt - and the quilting is very good, well done!

I think you did an awesome job. I haven't done FMQ yet, and I'm sure it won't be as good as your is. Keep up the good work.
