THat quilt is a winner. The colors are fantastic together, and the pattern is very interesting. So how big did it turn out to be? I love it!!! LOVE IT!!

size: 80x60
problems: first of all, the original pattern calls for all those different sized squares set on point and the quilt is 40x60... which is small, so we doubled it - but then your squares don't line up (on point, remember?) I don't have a 'linear' mind and just couldn't get the thing to do right... Margie figured it out and brought hers with them so we could get mine laid out correctly.... then I had problems with the tension, then the skipping, then the thread shredded and I was ready to give up on it again... finally I guess I just held my mouth right because I got it done but the tension is still kinda wonky in it - it aint' gonna fall apart so what the heck   |
Great job!!!

Your quilt is gorgeous. I have never worked with batiks. The colors are beautiful, your blocks are fantastic. But you said the quilting with batiks gave you a time. What is the hype with batiks? Is it the colors? I have never like the "hand" of batiks. They don't seem to be fabric for quilting. Could someone please help me learn to appreciate them? I love this quilt.
