UFO - its done now
 

I bought this material and started this quilt over a year ago. Once I got the blocks pieced I felt like it was too bright so I set in a drawer.. where it sat all of that time. Finally I pulled it out to finish up to donate to a little boy for Christmas. It is bright but I am glad its done. I did straight line quilting and I am pleased with how the simplicity of that worked out. I set the lines on 30 degrees and got diamonds... pretty cool. Not sure if you can see the quilting in the picture but I think I will do that again Thanks for looking

I agree. Everything that we piece does NOT come out the way we envision, but I am sure this little boy is going to enjoy this quilt keeping him snugly warm at night.

Did you show that quilt top before you added the borders? (at least I think I remember having seen something like this recently here on the board). Just wanted to say that the border you chose in the end, with that small black line and the black binding IMO really fits it very well!

yes I did.. had trouble trying to find the right stripe for the border so I asking for opinions :) Thanks everyone!
