Congrats on your finished UFO. I have so many ufos , I could be busy forever. Maybe some day when my health improves better I will accomplish it. A stack and whack quilt has always been on my TO DO list. and one day also I will do one. I have the material in my stash for it. I am just so amazed every time I see one, that all the blocks came from one material. and how different each one looks. Your Quilt is Beautiful and someone will be very lucky to cuddle up underneath it.

wonderful feeling when you are done.Did you like doing it on point, I made a pieced snowmen
for Christmas on point, and did not enjoy making it very much, I think that might be my last
one I try making like that.

Thanks... on point settings aren't my favorite to do, either. But sometimes they are necessary to make the best design. I think it looks better for this quilt than a straight setting, so I just bit the bullet and did it. :D

Oh don't give up on 'set on point.' They are no harder than straight set once you get the hang of it. I have a no math ruler by Fons and Porter that I love for making the side and corner triangles. I usually sketch mine out on paper first, which makes it much easier to lay out the blocks on my design wall. Then I add the triangles to the wall. Then I just start with the first diagonal row at the top left corner and end with the bottom right corner. I add the tringles to the rows as I sew each row together. Once a row is sewn it goes back up on the wall in its original spot, then I start the next row. Easy peasy cause it stays organized. I'm sure others do it differently but this is the method that works best for me. Don't give up...

SewBizGirl...Gorgeous quilt here. At first I didn't recognize that it was an animal print. Reminds me of a tropical paradise, and yes, you found the perfect binding. Generous of you to donate it, but if it were mine that's one I couldn't part with. I wonder if that fabric is still available... What size is your quilt and how much would it take? I'd be tempted to make something similar. I just love it! (I'm going to go check out the links that were posted here.)

Jan, it's not an animal print. It's an abstract floral jungle-type print with plants and some patches that look like leopard. If you scroll back to post #29, I show the original fabric. I bought it at JoAnn's about a year ago. They may still have it online.

Sorry I can't answer your questions about size and yardage... I don't have the quilt anymore. You will need to measure the "repeat" in the fabric and buy four times that much for a 4-patch, because you will be cutting four layers of the repeat for your blocks. I think I cut 4" squares for that one.
