Very nice! I love the colors you chose. Very pretty and nice work. Now I have questions..

Is that a pattern you can make using scraps? I am going to have to google how to do that, you have inspired me.

Yes you can use scraps; that is how I made mine. It is very easy to make. just 2in or 3 in. strips your choise.

I absolutely love your UFO. What brilliant use of colour, so bright & uplifting. Well Done.
I've cut out plastic templates for braids but you've guessed it I've not put template to fabric yet

Love your braid! I have a question for you. When I made a braid for a border, I found that it was difficult to gauge where to trim the edges. What did you use for a landmark to keep both sides even? It felt like it was getting wider on one side than the other. I'd love your tips and suggestions.

Quilt4u 06-30-2008 01:31 AM

To tell you the truth this was my frist braid I also did this by hand ( took it to work ). All I did was sew it in strips. then sewd the sprips together . My problem is evening them out on the top and botom.
