I''m glad I had already swallowed my coffee before I looked at the picture of the backing, or I would be buying a new keyboard! I'm still belllylaughing!
What were they thinking when they put this kit together?????????? |
What about adding black borders. That could posssibly make it look a little less mismatched. It wouldn't make it less eye-popping, but might "fix" it.
As for the backing........ I'm not too sure, except it could be OK if you could hide it!!!! |
I think the top is cute. My daughter agrees(she is 23). My grand-daughter wants one like it(she is 5). So dont be surprised if I PM you to find out where you got the kit from. I cant seem to refuse her a quilt if she asks me to make it . The child is 5 and already has a cedar chest full of quilts, but she loves them and does take very good care of them. I like the idea of the black borders, or maybe black with pink polka dots?

It's VERY pink LOL you did a wonderful job, but it is VERY pink :D
|
What's wrong with very pink I ask....... obviously the person who ?designed? the kit thought that was the perfect combination!!! Ah well just as well tastes differ. Ha Ha.

Joyce, mmm, what can I say? Well, it IS bright and your piecing is perfect as always!

It's bright.

It's bright! I bet a tween girl would adore it. You've put it together beautifully. Slap that "subtle" backing on and everything may grow on you. I think the quilt shop girls were in a wild mood that day.
