Hi! This is Marisa, Pam's daughter. At my school, each student must complete, present, and share a challenge project in order to graduate. These projects must be something that the student has never done before and would be a challenge to them, like training for and competing in a triathlon, learning to play the harmonica, building a computer, restoring an old car, decorating cupcakes, etc. Someone last year made a reconstruction of Queen Elizabeth I's coronation gown! (that was one of the best projects in recent history)

Thank you, everyone, for all of your nice comments! I'm already planning my next quilt.

Hi Marisa,
Thanks for your explanation about the graduation project. I appreciate the examples you provided and am impressed with the range of challenges that graduates take upon themselves along with that final year of high school. It sounds like some might be tempted to take on something too big to finish, but there must be contingency plans for that.

Your quilt just may replace Queen Elizabeth's gown.

Wow! That is stunning! She definitely puts me and probably some others to shame with her first. Love it!

Marissa ... your quilt is lovely, but most of all I'm glad to see those words above - that you will continue quilting. You definitely have a talent for it.

Beautiful quilt on all aspects. Best of luck for your future quilting endeavors.
