Under the Sea

Each summer my friend and I pick a theme to do when I visit her at her Lake Hse.
This yr it was "under the sea"... This is my version, just needs a few embellishments, binding or facing. I used all diff types of yarns for seaweed on left for 3D. We shared fabrics with fish, seashells to cut out for applique. I have an emb machine so i made my own patch applique, divers, swimmers, chest, turtles, fish, seahorse. She did a 3 panel scene and belongs to bd and will post photo's when she's done... |
What an awesome and creative quilt...looks like it was a fun project. I will keep my eyes open for hers too.

thank you for all your comments. It was fun especially doing the same theme w/a friend and both doing totally diff pieces. Her opting for 3 panels and less is more...me one panel and more is more...I just couldn't stop adding...a few times I thought I was done to just see space and kept adding...
I started another which is going to be all embroidered turned into a wall hanging. |
That's got to be so much fun for both of you. Great theme and wonderful results. What's next?
