Well I am a little sad...

I posted this quilt to Jan, sent it special delivery, it was delivered next day (checked on line) still I heard nothing...strange!

I decided to ring the carer who lives in, only to find out that Jan has been admitted to hospital with a severely infected knee and she has undergone two arthroscopies to clean it out and is expected to remain in hospital for at least 2/3 weeks.

I have spoken with her every day since and she knows that the quilt is waiting for her when she gets home, I think she will need it more than ever now.....

Unfortunately my friend is still in hospital, so hasn't seen it yet...the suspense is killing me, but hopefully she will be home soon and enjoy it :-D

I am so very sad to have to tell you all that Jan passed away on the 1st April, it was very sudden and sadly she didn't get to see this quilt, I have had it returned to me and I will have it as a keepsake of her...she would have loved it :cry: :cry: :cry:

Vermicelli stippling is just a way of describing very tiny stippling,
