I think one more border of the white Univ of Alabama fabric and it'll be done.
What do you think.

My sister is going to use this on her terrace when they watch football. She lives in Atlanta. I bought a large piece of grey fleece. I'm going to attach it to the back of the quilt for them to tuck their feet into. (After it's quilted, of course). Not sure how I'm going to attach it. I "might" use snaps so she can take it off if she wants.
Suggestions?

Put Minky on the back. Most of the stores carry it. I have made tons of quilts with it. Even a t-shirt quilt! You can buy it in red too. It's soft and cuddly and easy to quilt. There is a great site to order at MinkyDelight!

i have a couple of family members who would give their right arm for this quilt. ;)

tealady 10-19-2011 06:51 AM

Awesome! I'm going to have to try this pattern someday. But no 'Bama. The 'Gators & 'Noles around here would take turns skinning me alive.

Central Ohio Quilter 10-19-2011 07:07 AM

Awesome quilt, if you are an Alabama fan. ;~) Although, if you ask me, it would look better as an Ohio State quilt! ;-)

sewbelle52 10-19-2011 07:50 AM

Like a couple of other posts, I have family from Roll Tide country. My cousin's daughter is expecting and I would LOVE to make her an Alabama baby quilt! Where did you get the fabric?

I ordered it online. I tried to go back and look, I have an email from Fluffy Fleece with a confirmation. I also have an email from Ira Cohen Office-917-338-9197/
Fax-631-750-6224

or just google collegiate fabrics.

Very nice! My brother has converted our whole Louisiana family to Alabama football, but when they play LSU, I will cheer for the tigers! Two more weeks until that big game :-)

EasyPeezy 10-19-2011 12:08 PM

Wonderful quilt. But as a USA grad I have to say Go Jags. ;-)
