Unknown quilt pattern

1 Attachment(s)
I started this quilt/wall hanging/TT several years ago - fished it out of one of my storage totes yesterday. If I have the directions, goodness only knows where they are. I thought the name of it was Crossing Paths, but when I looked it up online, it doesn't look anything at all like this one. Am hoping someone can tell me what it is so that perhaps I can buy the pattern and finish it. OR, I'll have to do a bit of work to figure out how to make more blocks.

I don't know anything about this pattern or it's name, But you already have the best pattern available with the blocks you have. It looks like you did a very nice job making them and you should be able to figure cut sizes of the pieces and construction order if you examine the back carefully. It's a pretty pattern and won't be too difficult. Good luck.

You need to look in this thread titled. Using scraps. I think it is your pattern..........calla

This quilt looks like the same pattern, or at least a similar one.

Looks like you have the right name. http://www.quiltsmith.com/node/1
Maybe you could contact this person to ask if she can help.

It is real nice pattern. I would love to know the name and make one like it. Please post if when you find out the name of the pattern and/or get it finished.

Kudos to EasyPeezy for finding the pattern. I think yours will come out beautiful. I like your color choices. Be sure to share it with us once you've completed it.

I don't know the name of the pattern, but I sure do like it. You've done a very good job on what you do have of it.

That's a nice pattern. Good for scrappy quilts.

Love the polka dot fabric as the sashing.

What size are the blocks. It is easy to work up in EQ. Let me know and I will do it for you! Luann
Here are 2 photos of the one I designed in EQ just now. I have it in pdf form for 9 inch 10 inch and 12 inch sizes. PM me if you would like the cutting instructions. Luann

Very, very pretty.

joyce888 05-25-2012 05:50 PM

Wow that's gorgeous. I must admit I have EQ7 and haven't done a thing with it.

bearisgray 05-25-2012 06:01 PM

Putting blocks on point just makes them look so different!

Foxflower 05-25-2012 06:29 PM

Looks like someone already varified that it called Cossing Paths. It is made like Garden Fence...one with a 9-patch instead of a solid square in the middle. We made this in a bee recently. Here is a link to the queen bee's instructions for Garden Fence on her blog.....http://centrej.blogspot.com/2012/02/...rch-block.html.

I really like this pattern. If you break it up into sections I think you will be able to figure it out really easily.

My version

Here is my version of that pattern. I do not remember where I found the pattern, but I am quite sure that I liked the pattern and so I just figured out the size I wanted the blocks and figured out the dimension of each piece. I made it as a wedding present for a daughter, and many of the pieces are scraps from dresses that I had made for her over the years.

Beautiful work, good luck find your pattern!!!

crafterrn1 05-28-2012 10:46 AM

If you want the pattern for EQ7 PM me I will be happy to send it on! Luann

Jammin' Jane 06-03-2012 01:28 PM

It looks like a fun pattern. Sure wish I had EQ7!!! :)

You're absolutely right scraphq - I should be able to figure it out and I know I can - I just have to sit down and DO IT!!

It's similar, not exactly the same. But thanks for the pic.

That is THE pattern. Thanks so much for finding it. Copied and saved it to my 'puter. Thank you, thank you.

It is the one that EasyPeezy found - click on the link she posted. Now, if only I can find the pattern I should have and all the rest of my fabric, I'll be in business.

It may be another 4 years or more before I manage to finish it. I keep telling everyone I'm a beginning quilter - as in, I begin a lot of quilts, I just never finish them!!! But now that I have it out, there's a chance I might work on it some time this year.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! What a wonderful job Luann. Would you believe I have EQ (not the newest version) and I never even thought of trying to replicate it there. Some days I think my brain is off in another world. I know I have a lot of pieces cut - what I need to do is get them out, put them in like piles and start sewing.

Exactly like it except for the 9 patch in the center. Thanks for posting the link.

NitaM39 06-21-2012 04:33 PM

Thanks to all who posted about my "unknown pattern." I now know it's name, and I was correct that it was Crossing Paths, just not the Crossing Paths that I happened to find when Googling it. I appreciate everyone who wrote.

That looks like "Bento Box" to me. I like it, tho, don't you?

Ditto. And I do mean I've done NOTHING with mine... it isn't even loaded on my 'puter!

That cracks me up.. a beginning quilter... LOL! Me, too!!! I just get distracted... & then I misplace the one I was working on & the cycle continues!

I made a quilt called DayDreamer and it is the exact same block you have posted. I got it from a Fons & Porter magazine, Fall of 2010 and the magazine is called Easy Quilts. The designer of the quilt is Sue Correa and she designed this Day Dreamer quilt which is featured on the cover. It looks complicated, but is definitely not. It was the 2nd quilt I've ever attempted, and when I finished it, I was shocked to think I actually made a quilt of this caliber, but it was the designer who made it easy. You can contact her at [email protected]. I hope this helps you. Good luck.
