I think it's lovely. Could be a great 'ice-breaker' when visiting homes for testing/assessment, which I am sure can be quite stressful for parents and the teacher involved.

That's a fantastic quilt, she is going to love it and will probably use it daily and thank you for making it for her. I love the crayon fabric and the black/white polka dot fabric.

My daughter teaches 4K but is also the district test person for any special education needs for the upcoming preschoolers. She often travels to the childrens home or day care to do the testing or just to meet prior to making an assessment. She'd asked me to make a tote bag for her that she could use for files and testing materials. I wanted it to be useful from a professional standpoint but also say something about who she is with the kids. This is what I came up with. I'll be giving it to her for her birthday next week. I hope she likes it. This is the front and back of the bag.
