Thought some of you who helped advise me so many months ago might appreciate seeing I'm making SOME progress on this beast of a project. I keep setting it aside because I remain unhappy with it. Mostly with the quality of my work. I still don't know if I'm going to send this to its intended recipient.
I am following Sharon Shamber's basting technique found at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhwNylePFAA I made the boards; they're VERY helpful. But here's a photo, with my quilt inspector inspecting the basting. |
Looks like the inspector is pleased with your work. The quilt is very pretty.
|
Ah, I remember this one.
Are you planning on hand quilting it? |
Looks good to me.
|
Beautiful quilt and cat! I love seeing a quilt with someone enjoying it :)

Oh look: the senior(*) quilt inspector had to come check things out: (*)senior only in attitude; he's several years younger than the other, but clearly the boss in the house. |
It's beautiful...   Naomi

miss ticky2,
your kitty is pretty dang nice, too! I love big cats. I just keep getting small ones that don't grow! The quilt is now basted, rolled up and tucked away in the back of a closet, with its UFO license officially renewed. Now I have to figure out a replacement plan for the little girl who awaits a Jillaine-quilt. (Her parents and siblings each have one.) I feel so much better now. Where's gal288? You listening? reading? |
