It is just beautiful. Where did you get your centre squares of the Lords Prayer & Amazing Grace.
|
Beautiful quilt. I am sorry for your loss.

for those who wish to know there is no real pattern for this quilt. I just made it up with some blocks that I found. the center block on the front is called sea of crisis and the ones around it are called seaside star. they are from the Jinney Beyer Studio. the sea of crisis I added triangles to the corners to help it fit in better. the back fabric I got from Hobby Lobby. the crosses are just some cross fabric that goes with the lords prayer and amazing grace panels. thank you all for your comments.
My sister in laws step-father has hung the quilt over his bed. I hope that one day he will feel comfortable enough to use it. When I gave it to him I told him that it is for wrapping up in when you are feeling sad and need a hug or need some comfort. I hope that one day he will be comfortable with using it more than just a wall hanging. which is just fine also if it only hangs on the wall. it is his to do with as he wishes. |
It's a lovely quilt! Good going!

I ended up making a comfort quilt. I prayed long and hard about the quilt and felt that I should wait and make a quilt with my sil and I ended up giving it to her step-father. He was having a really hard time with he death and felt that at the moment it would do more good going to him. I am attaching pics of the quilt that I was able to make. Thank God that I had a quilt top most of the way done so that I could do this. Thank you all so much for your comments and your prayers. They are very much appreciated and needed. (I didn't know it at the time, but my sil was playing amazing grace on her violin at the funeral I am glad that I decided to go with this panel for the backing)
